What can I use as a base for my Cabo days?

The Marlin Hunter's villas give guests a private place to build their Cabo days around the water, the beach, or excursions:

  • Casa Paloma — sleeps 8, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, ocean views, a rooftop deck, community pool access, and a private beach path down the hill. From $499/night, with seasonal peak pricing in March and Christmas week.
  • Villa Black Marlin — sleeps 12, 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, ocean-view terrace, private pool, outdoor lounge, bar, and BBQ, in a gated community a short walk from the beach. From $1,199/night, same seasonal peak pricing.
  • Villa Blue Marlin — sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, private pool, outdoor lounge, bar, and BBQ, with beach access down the path. From $399/night, same seasonal peak pricing.

Every villa includes access to the full house, the community pool where applicable, and a private beach. Amenities across all three villas include Starlink internet, purified drinking water from the tap, streaming television, free parking, and a gated entrance with 24-hour security.

What does a typical day look like?

Beach and pool day. The villa works as a base for an easy beach day — The Marlin Hunter can help identify swimmable beaches nearby and explain the beach access options from a given villa. Beach access at the villa is a separate thing from a boat drop-off: private boat transfers, drop-off points, pickup timing, and beach-specific conditions are arranged as part of a custom plan, so confirm those details before planning a boat-to-beach day. Sunrise or sunset experience. A slower villa day can be built around coffee, the rooftop or ocean-view terrace, and beach time, or a coastal outing can be timed to whichever part of the day a guest prefers. Exact locations, transportation, timing, and pricing are arranged as part of the custom plan. Golf day at Cabo del Sol. The Marlin Hunter can arrange golf as part of a villa itinerary. Tee-time availability, green fees, transportation, club rentals, and group size all vary — share a preferred date and group size to get it confirmed. Baja adventure day. Local concierge support can help arrange whale watching, dune buggies, horseback riding, ATVs, wave runners, and time at swimmable beaches with private beach access, plus sunrise and sunset experiences — and of course a sportfishing day aboard The Marlin Hunter's own fleet fits right into an adventure-day itinerary too. Availability, age requirements, pickup arrangements, duration, and pricing vary by activity and date, and get confirmed when the plan is built. Villa service day. A day at the villa can include a private chef, an in-villa masseuse, and full itinerary planning with local concierge support. Pre-stock service (beverages, snacks, water) is available on request, and private airport transportation can include a grocery stop if requested. A private chef can also be arranged for onboard dining during a fishing charter — ask in advance so menu options, service format, availability, and pricing can be confirmed.

What does a combined stay actually look like?

A typical custom plan pairs a villa arrival with private airport transportation and a grocery stop, followed by a villa-based beach or pool day, a Cabo excursion, and a private fishing charter on another day. The Marlin Hunter coordinates the villa, transportation, activities, and local support around the guest's dates and group size.

For the charter portion, a trip may focus offshore on game fish or work the inshore edge depending on the day, with crews also helping with whale spotting and coastal sightseeing along the way. Charter options range from shorter outings to full-day trips, with the specific route depending on conditions, the season, and the group's goals.

What's included in the charter portion of a combined trip?

For most charters, a booking includes the boat and crew only, unless other items are arranged in advance. Fishing licenses ($25 USD per person, per day — children under 12 don't need one), bait ($4 USD each), and food and drinks are separate for applicable charters. The 67' Decimal Dust is the exception among the fleet: its full-day all-inclusive rate covers the boat, crew, gear, license, bait, food, and drinks together.

What should I tell The Marlin Hunter when planning a custom trip?

  • Dates, guest count, villa preference, and the activities to combine.
  • Whether the priority is fishing, beach time, wildlife, active excursions, golf, or villa time.
  • Airport transportation and a grocery stop, requested ahead of arrival if needed.
  • Any pre-stock requests — beverages, snacks, water, or other items.
  • Confirm activity pricing and availability before treating an experience as reserved.
  • Ask specifically about snorkeling, private beach boat drop-offs, onboard chef dining, wine tours, or golf logistics — these get confirmed individually rather than being fixed offerings.

The Marlin Hunter can plan a villa stay, a private charter, or a custom combination of both — share dates and preferred pace to get the activities connected into one trip.
